How to Wear a Cheap Watch

We all know how a watch easily tells of a person\'s lifestyle and more importantly, of a person\'s social status. One quick glance at the wrist and you can summarize a person\'s taste. If you see an expensive designer watch, a classic at that, at someone\'s wrist, you think this person thinks he deserves such luxury and therefore has good taste. If you see a quirky, fashionable watch on someone\'s wrist, you think that person is highly individualist, and is not afraid to be labeled unique. And so on.

However, no matter how we scout for the best one to fit our tastes, our lifestyles and our preferred self-projection, we may run tight on budget. And therefore we purchase cheap watches.

Though a lot of people are apprehensive in buying cheap watches, there is still a way to wear them well. After all, if it properly tells time then it does the job right? First, make sure that it matches your apparel. Look at its material and use your common sense. If it\'s rubber, you cannot use it in job interviews or in other formal affairs. If you\'re going out for a hike, anything shining and stainless is inappropriate. And because it\'s difficult to find a watch that can go round-the-clock-any-occasion, buy at least three different watches. Buy one for formal, one for sports/adventure and one for casual days, like days when you only need to do the grocery.

Next, make sure it\'s spotlessly clean. If it\'s full of scratches, ditch it. Scratches will make even designer watches look bad. Make sure the strap is clean too. Straps, especially the leather ones, attract most of the germs/dirt. So before they look nasty, clean them.

Lastly, make sure it fits well. Nobody likes a wristwatch that seems like a sphygmomanometer strap or an ethnic bangle. Avoid a major fashion faux pas. Have the strap modified if you have to. After all, you just spend a little for the watch itself.

With these tips, you will not mind wearing a cheap watch because you know you can carry it well. A lot of times, it really doesn\'t matter how much money you\'ve spent in your outfit. At the end of the day, how you look in them is a lot more important. There are a lot of expensive watches that just go to waste because their owners have a complete lack of taste. It\'s like they just bought those watches because everyone else know how expensive they are.

Replica watches are not advised, though. There are a lot of cheap watches around the corner which look just as good and a lot of local brands are also upping their ante to compete with their more expensive counterparts. My advice is that you try expanding your horizons, do not be enclosed with brands which are always advertised on TV or in magazines. They usually cost a lot because they have to pay for massive advertising.
