As we continue to advance in fashion we have to appreciate the fact that what we wear today reflects what was worn in the past.

The clothing industry has been ever growing and it requires a work force which mainly constitutes skilled migrants that will minimize the ever increasing needs of the already made clothes, this is because people are committed to jobs that require them to be away from their homes for long. These products already have fair price. Fair trade clothing is created by considering the safety of the people’s health. Though they are expensive most people prefer to buy them. It is better for them and the environment, they feel good wearing clothing that has been produced with a high quality of product as well as quality of life in mind.

Fair trade is a social movement that brings about equity among the vastly diverse words, it offers direct market that translates into the producer benefiting from the trade. It is a trade that is dominated by long trade chains where the majority of the profit is split by various intermediaries. One good thing about it is that it invests in social programs to uplift the marginalized producers by helping them have a suitable livelihoods that not only will it see you meet day to day needs in economic but also social and environmental wellbeing and also enable you to have a better life in future. Price payment of the clothing are determined by the assessment of the factors rather than just reference to the current market conditions plus you have a long term commitment of trading partnership.
Their clothing use natural materials like herbal and vegetable dyes, recycled paper cloth, and other natural materials that value the earth’s resources and also the discipline and wisdom inherent in the traditions that help preserve indigenous cultures, support traditional artisan communities, invest in community based programs, safeguards natural resources and protects the earth from pollution and exploitation.
