And the 1990's witnessed a boom in production of exotic and expensive products. In the 20th century with the more advances in technology, and the mass production of fragrance became possible. With mass production came lower prices, and scents became more accessible to many people. Fragrances also now included synthetic scents. So far, the world of scents in the 21st century is based largely on the world of show business and entertainment.
