Scarves are elegant accessories, which are a must in the wardrobe of one and all; be it men or women. They may be draped around your neck, head or even slung over your waist as a short sarong. A number of scarves, in a variety of materials, colours, textures, etc. are available in the market for the consumer to choose from.

Knitted scarf is a popular variety among the fashion conscious and are made using wool, silk threads, cotton threads, etc. It is swanky in patterns and designs and makes for a splendid fashion accessory. Knitting is an intricate process, wherein the yarn or the threads are intertwined in a series of connected loops either manually with the help of needles, or by using knitting machines.

Designers find knitting a very challenging task, as it aids them in giving vent to their creativity. They can experiment with threads, colours, textures, etc. to come up with a master piece. Knitted cotton or wool threads scarf is available in a number of shapes and sizes to suit the requirements of the buyers, and as per the current market trends. Knitted scarf also comes in a plenty of floral, printed, geometrical and other kinds of designs.

Various Kinds of Knitted Scarves
Knitted scarves available in the market come in a number of knit patterns. Some of the most popular among them include the following:
Condo Knit Scarf: When two different sized needles are used on two different rows of the same project, the process is known as condo knitting. It is a popular way of knitting scarves, as it is relatively simpler. A condo knit scarf is a perfect accessory for the spring time
Ripple Stitch Scarf: The ripple stitch too is an easy way of knitting. A bulky yarn is employed in this process, thus making this knitted scarf extremely warm
Staghorn Cable Scarf: This knitted scarf is extremely warm owing to the round knit for double thickness
Horizontal Scarf: As the name suggests, a horizontal scarf is knit side to side rather than length wise. This knitted scarf is the easiest to make
Fuzzy Garter Stitch Scarf: This knitted scarf is made using a wispy yarn, giving it a fuzzy texture. It is extremely soft to touch
Garter Stitch Scarf: It is a very easy knitting pattern for a garter stitch scarf, which is knit from side to side
Box Stitch Scarf: The box stitch is an easy knitting stitch, which is used with fabrics with a lot of texture
Diagonal Eyelet Scarf: This scarf may vary in width and length; a sheer scarf may be 3 inches wide, whereas a warm muffler may be upto 8 inches wide.
