Shawls and Other Designer Fabrics

Submitted by ronrJ

Whoever said that shawls and other designer fabrics such as scarves, and even ties need to be limited only to adorning one\'s clothing and outfit? Practically any kind and type of fabric or garment can find interesting uses in today\'s modern offices. Not only are they chic and presents an entirely refreshing look for the company, they bespeak of a taste for quality.

The idea about using such products in modern offices is not at all a novel idea. Ever since home interior designers began tinkering with the idea of blending the intricate colors, lines and designs of these garments in beautifying the home, it only needed a matter of time before they realized to extend it well beyond the home and into offices.

But why place a shawl or a scarf in the office? Can it not simply be confined to the home, better yet, man\'s daily attire? It may actually raise the brows of some conservatives but placing such pieces of garment in strategic places inside the office can not only make the whole office presentable but offer an entirely different perspective about it as well.

Modern offices have moved well beyond the concept of a separate entity, one where relationships often take on a very formal and serious tone. What we now see is the proliferation of a different kind of organizational culture that is more relaxed, friendly, accommodating and informal. Without sacrificing mediocrity, shawls and other similar garments can work best to project such a warm and inviting atmosphere.

These pieces of designer garments need not take away the functional and business feel of an office. Rather, it should be used in such a way that it naturally blends with the inherent characteristics of the office. Wood partitions can be enhanced by tying a shawl or a scarf around one of its posts. Pots of ornamental plants can be made to look even more pleasing with a scarf.

Office work tables can be lined with a shawl for a more dramatic appeal. You can also discard the plain plastic cover on your table and in its place, put a stole that blends naturally with the color of the table. File cabinets can be covered with one too while the sofa lounge can be accented with intricate designs of shawl and scarf pieces.

Shawls and other designer garments can be used to adorn an office. These will make your office more of an extension of your home
