The Men's Scarf... Do You Really Need One, or Two, or Three?

In today\'s fashion crazed world, it is a common notion that at the forefront of all this vanity is women. From lipsticks to makeup to evening dresses to office attires, nothing can come close to the preeminence of female fashion sense. Yet, the cosmopolitan male specie is not far behind, what with men\'s scarf finding a growing number of acceptance.

The question however is do today\'s men really need a scarf when it is common knowledge that a scarf is generally for ladies? It has also been an assumption that men who wear scarves and other "girly" things are called sissies and thus, an indirect insult to their manhood. Oddly, the answer to this is a resounding "yes". Scarf for men has clearly transcended the borders of utilitarian functionality to one that acts as a complementary fashion piece. Whereas scarves were generally used to keep the body warm during the cold winter months, they are now used as a fashion accessory, much like a neck tie or a bow tie.

In deserts, scarves were worn to protect from extreme heat as well as from the dust that can be hurled on one\'s face in a sandstorm. Now, they are more worn for their ability to project a strongly masculine character. No longer are scarves limited to such protective uses, they are now more statements of a man\'s character and personality.

In most modern cities, men\'s scarf come in different sizes, textiles, colors and patterns yet the purpose remains the same. In a growing society where physical looks almost always gets things done, it pays to spend very particular attention to how one looks through other people\'s eyes. This fact is well known and is greatly exploited by women to advance in a lot of ways vis-à-vis a male dominated society.

Men should act the same and recognize the value of starting with one\'s appearance vis-à-vis fashion sense in making things fall on their way. Wearing such garments that do nothing to change one\'s sexual orientation but contributes a lot in terms of enhancing one\'s sense of self worth is an excellent way of becoming elegant and sophisticated in a male kind of way.

Do men really need a scarf? By all means, men who need to project an elegant, sophisticated and stylish lifestyle can find an increasing need for such fashion accessories as men\'s scarf.
