Wristbands as a Unique and Profound Fashion AccessorySubmitted by analogik Fri, 8 May 2009
Wristbands first gained popularity in the 80's as a hot fashion accessory. Everyone, everywhere, would wear them to fault colorful neons and phrases of all sorts. Eventually their popularity minimized, but these wristbands made a huge comeback in the early portion of the millennium.
Charity wristbands are a large part of what makes these silicon bands so popular. In a philanthropic world where being charitable is considered "cool", these bands are often a way to display what causes you support and give depth to your personality, and represent who you are. They are incredible conversation starters, as well as cute accessories. Wristbands are probably one of the easiest things to match to your daily outfits too, because they come in many designs and styles. Their variety and uniqueness allows you to wear a wristband with sneakers and a polo, or even a black wristband with a suit. Sometimes wearing some casual will hurt a sharp and formal look, but when you are wearing something as profound as a charity wristband, it hardly matters to anyone. If you want to make your outfit balanced and complete, then look no further than adding a colorful wristband. A white t-shirt and blue jeans with red shoes could seem a little plain and off balance, but if you add in a red wristband or two, everything is instantly pulled together. These are suitable for holidays, celebrations, school, and even work. In fact, many workplaces encourage wearing such wristbands, because of their friendly and eye pleasing nature. The fashion statement these make are bold as well, because they are stretchy and cute, you can wear more than one. They are great for all ages, even if you are 95 or 2 years old. Teachers wear them, parents wear them, teenagers wear them, and men wear them. No other fashion accessory has been able to reach as many audiences and interest groups. They are a band that everyone enjoys, and one that everyone can benefit from. Despite starting off as an 80s fad, charity wristbands are here to stay. They offer so much to those that wear them, and for a few bucks you can support your favorite charities. They are a unique and fun gift as well, that gives back in more than one way. How many gifts can you say make someone you care about happy, as well as help feed the homeless or provide research for cancer cure development? About the Author
