Gift Tips for the Hard to Shop For

Submitted by chloeramsbottom

Christmas is only round the corner and it’s certainly time to start thinking about gifts. Every year there is always that special person who has no hobbies and interests or has everything you can think of.

Christmas shopping certainly follows the Pareto Principle, where eighty percent of the people you buy for will take twenty percent of the time, and that awkward twenty percent will take eighty percent of your time. To help you out here are a variety of ideas. Hopefully you will find something to inspire you, and you may even find a few presents that you want for yourself.

For the adventurous outdoors type, why not consider an experience day. They may have done this before, but there is no way they can have tried all the different experiences available today. Lots of people have tried the normal experience day such as track racing and hot air balloons but what about the new more specialist activities available. Indoor skydiving is one such activity. The sky diving takes place inside a room built above a giant fan. Inside the room you can get the same floating experience that you would get from a sky dive, but also with a qualified instructor in the room with you can be taught how to get your posture correct and how to manoeuvre properly. Another unusual option is powerkiting. In powerkiting you can learn to manoeuvre a skateboard type platform around a field by using a kite for propulsion. Aqua Sphereing is another option to look at where alone or with a friend you can travel downhill in a plastic sphere at speeds of up to 30 miles an hour. These great gifts although not for the faint hearted should give the more adventurous a real treat and something to remember.

Not everyone is adventurous enough to enjoy experience days as a gift idea. As a tamer solution why not consider a personalised gift idea. Some great options include map jigsaws where you chose a location such as a person’s house and, can have a satellite map centred on their property. You can then select the size of the jigsaw and choose how many pieces you want it cut to. There are other great personalised gifts to try, why not name a star in their honour or buy them their own acre of the moon and have their name registered against it.

With such a wide variety of experience days and so many personalised gift options available you are sure to find a great gift for that hard to buy for person.
