Hitting The New Year Sales With Style

Submitted by chloeramsbottom

There is no doubt that the festive periods can be one of the busiest periods of the year with meals to cook, buffets to put on, presents to buy and long distance travelling to visit relatives, so on the whole it can be quite a costly few months aswell.

An idea would be to begin putting aside a bit of money each month from about June time so when it comes to Christmas you have a bit of ready money to use. For example putting aside £100 every month will give you £600 when Christmas comes knocking, this prevents the strain of getting into debt or being left with no cash.

Good things to look out for are wine, champagne or chocolate gift sets as these make a great present if you are struggling on what to get someone, a bottle of wine can be purchased for as little as £3 if you shop around, then adding a presentation bag and a few artistic edges can give it a an elegant look.

It shouldn’t be a stage of getting into debt and at the same time it shouldn’t just be about saving money. Giving gifts is a kind thing to do but you should keep to a budget because at the end of the day no one expects you to buy something that you cannot afford, and if you are struggling, debt consolidation maybe of help to you. By this method you simply pay off all your existing debts by the use of one loan and the benefits of this are the interest rates being a lot lower if you are only paying back one loan as opposed to multiple loans and credit cards.
