Jollibee Food Corporation's Massive Expansion

Jollibee Food Corporation is one of the biggest known food corporation in the Philippines known to have boosted the food service industry in the Philippines. This is because of their success in the field as well as their passion to penetrate every food segment their is. Through this devotion, Jollibee Food Corporation or JFC is known to own almost half of popular fast food restaurants in the Philippines, making their business as one of the biggest the food service industry.

Jollibee Food Corporation's Massive Expansion
The main reason why JFC became the one of the biggest corporation in the Philippines is because of its rapid expansion towards other food service segments or industry other than its own hamburger and fries concept. Popular food chains attained by Jollibee Food Corporation include:

Chowking
A Philippine-based chain that pioneered the Asian quick-service restaurant concept in the Philippines. On January 1, 2000, Chowking became a wholly owned subsidiary of Jollibee Foods Corporation, the Philippines' biggest fast-food chain. The change in ownership gave rise to store renovations and a new corporate look and mindset that is visible from front-end to back-end.
Greenwich Pizza
Considered as one of the largest pizza-pasta chain in the Philippines, Greenwich started as an over-the-counter pizza store in the Greenhills Commercial Center in Metro Manila in 1971. It was when JFC bought the the out its partners in Greenwich Pizza Corp., equivalent to a 20% stake, for P384 million in cash, that the new company was called Greenwich Pizza Corporation. From 50 stores in 1994, as of 2005 there are over 240 stores and an annual revenue of over P4 billion.
Red Ribbon Bakeshop
Red Ribbon Bakeshop is a popular fast-food chain and bakery in the Philippines and the United States, offering a wide range of cakes and pastries. It was in 2005 that Red Ribbon was acquired by Jollibee Food Corporation. Through this shift of business, Red Ribbon bakeshop continued to grow and expand up to this day.
Délifrance
A bakery company that serves "French style" bakery products in over 50 countries on five continents. In 2006, the company acquired the franchise of Délifrance. This further expanded its penetration in the food service industry, particularly in the French cafe-bakery, a growing segment of the Philippine food market.
