Keeping the Customers Happy

When shopping on the Internet, there are various aspects of customer service that we all expect to receive when we make an order. Whether that order is for £5 or for £500, the aftercare service that we receive should be the same.
As a rule, companies that are selling online need to have their websites up to date, and reflect their stock levels accurately. There is little more annoying that going to buy a product and finding it is actually not available upon checkout. Another thing that we expect is for a confirmation email or telephone call (sometimes both, if the purchase was a large one), to confirm the order has been paid for and shipped, or will be shipped as soon as possible. After the payment has been processed, the item should be posted by the company to the address specified - whether this is our home address, work address or another address, the company should get this correct if it has been specified upon payment.
When the products, or products, have been sent, hopefully they will arrive in a short time. Upon receipt, we expect them to be well packaged and professional looking, especially if buying from a company that seems well established and maintains a strong presence online. If their website states their products are sent in a certain type of packaging, such as bubble wrap, then we will expect them to arrive this way. A lot of companies, to maintain how professional their packaging looks to the customer, will use products such as peel out labels to ensure their order looks good and reaches the customer correctly.
Peel out labels are also known as integrated labels, despatch labels and delivery notes, amongst other names. Peel out labels are specially designed labels sheets that come in either single or double options, and can have the address of the receiver printed directly onto them. The name is self-explanatory really; peel out labels can be peeled off and stuck onto the package or surface they are intended for. Using peel out labels is very handy for businesses, as they can be ordered in bulk and are a quick and easy way of sending out an order efficiently, whilst looking professional. A variety of companies sell peel out labels, and many offer discounts for bulk orders. They can be ordered either plain or with a logo/company information already on them, dependant on the needs of the retailer in question.
Once the customer has received the products, hopefully they will be happy and impressed with the service. This may lead to return orders, or increased traffic due to word of mouth and recommendations. If they aren't happy, no doubt a complaint will be made, which also should be dealt with in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a resolution is made to the customer's satisfaction if possible.
When running a business, there are a lot of different aspects to take into account, but how the service appears to the customer is definitely a high priority. It could mean the difference between new orders or not. So be sure to bear this in mind if thinking of running your own business.
