Heavy Duty Floor Mats

If you are looking for something that is one step up, as far as protection offered, from the standard all-weather floor mats, you may be a great candidate for Heavy Duty Floor Mats. This type of mat, made from rubber, is usually thicker than regular all-weather mats and has higher ridges. Prime candidates for this type of floor matting are those who live in snow bound areas or people who are constantly trekking in and out of muddy, wet or sandy locations.

The purpose of the exceptionally high ridges that these mats have is that they prevent mud, water, snow or sand from spilling onto your vehicles carpet. Instead, any dirt or water that is traipsed back into your vehicle will be trapped in the ridges, thus preventing it from damaging the carpet or from soaking through the carpet and rusting the chassis or bottom of your vehicle.

Heavy Duty Floor Mats are usually made from extremely durable rubber that is guaranteed not to crack or buckle. They should have good grips on the bottom of the mat so that they can dig into the carpet on the floor of the vehicle, preventing the mat from sliding or slipping around. They are custom designed to fit into specific brands of cars and are also tailored to cope with any differences in the shape or design of the floor from year to year. When you order floor mats for your vehicle online you are usually presented with a series of drop down boxes from where you are to choose your car make, model and year. From there you will be shown a selection of floor mats that will fit your specific vehicle, and you can choose whichever best suits. Normal color choices for these type of mats include black, gray or tan.

When it comes time to clean your Heavy Duty Floor Mats you simply take them out of your vehicle and hose them down. Any dirt or dust lodged between the ridges should easily come out and after drying off, your mats will be ready to place back inside your vehicle.
