Batteries must always be stored in a dry place.

The memory card should be compatible with the memory slot in your camera as any mismatch will affect the results of the camera. An air balloon or a soft brush should be used for cleaning the memory cad slot of your camera.

When you connect your digital camera to your computer, you must take necessary precautions to ensure that no malicious programs or virus can harm your camera. While transferring files from camera to your computer, you should never disconnect in between as it may damage the memory of your camera.

All said and done you must ensure that your digital camera is kept away from the hands of novice. The camera should be taken periodically to the authorized service station for servicing which can increase the efficiency and longevity of the camera.
