A popular style of outdoor mat is the one that looks a lot like synthetic grass. This type is very effective at scraping and trapping dirt. It is also very easy to clean. They also need to be very durable as they will get a lot of use outside and will also be subject to extremes of weather. As they will definitely get wet, they should also be resistant to molds and mildew and at the same time be easy to clean.
