Toric lenses are used to cure astigmatism. Although these lenses can be either soft or rigid, most of the toric lenses are soft. The material is soft permeable plastic that very easily gets accustomed to the wearer's eyes. Rigid contacts are prescribed for specific eye disorder and should be worn only by doctor's advice.
