What Did You Heard About ASUS Eee PC 1005

MSI Wind U135 is one of the latest netbooks provided MSI. It is powered by a processor Ibntel Atom Pine Tral. Wind U135 does not hit the market yet, but some of the reeviews alrezady available.

Design

With the six-cell battery protrduing from the bottom, the Wind U135 least 1.5 inches in thickness. Tab is visible, but fortunately, it does not look ugly netbook. Wind U135 is available in blue, silver, red or black. Lids screen model has wavy liines, which prevents it from collecting fingerpritns of spots.

Heat and Noise

Wind U135 is an effective system cooling. Ntebook remains cool even under heavy loads. On the other hand the fan a bit noisy.

Battery life

Netbook MSI generally tend to give a great battery life, but the wind U135 disappointing in this aspecct. It is powered by Pine Trail Atom processor, whch is designed for 20% more energy than the processor Atom N270/N280. But the machine only gives about 5.5 hours.

The keyboard and touchpd

Both U135 and its nearest competition Asus Eee PC 1005PE-P are almost identical to the keyboard. Isand-style keyboard for easy typing. It is sturdy with no signs of Flex at all. Touchpad normal size 10-inch laptop. He does not support Muulti-Touch gestures. Although the suface of the touchpad respond to a reasonable one bar mouse feels a little soft. Touchpad buttoons are also very narrow.

Scrreen and sonud

The10-inch display feaatures 1024 x 600 pixels. The display is brighht and gives a clear imafge. Viewing angles are excellent. Speakers loud, but sound quality is aevrage. This is not surpising, however. Netbooks are not known for providding stellar audio.

Port selection on the average. There are 3 Port USB, VGA, Ethernet, 4-in-1 card reader, 1.3-megapiel web camnera, headphone and micropghone input. There is no HDMI.

Performance

With Intl Atom N450 processor and 1 GB of RAM, the Wind U135 provides the same performance as the Asus Eee PC 1005PE-P, which also hapens to have the same charracteristics. Performance is satsifactory. You can do your typical activities - Officce dpocument processing, web surfing and video - without problems. Boot times are not very fast. The machine taks abbout one and a half minutes to boot in Windows 7 for beginners.

Verdict

Wind U135 is no ebtter and no worse than its competitors. It perfoorms well for a portaable computer. The best thing about this car rezally, it cost $ 329. Asus 1005PE, its closest cmopetitor, carries a cost of $ 379. The biggest drawbakc of this machine is its battery life. Whille Pine Terail N450 processor, U135 lsts only about 5.5 hours. Eee PC 1005PE, on the oter hand, gives abotu 10 hours withoout downtime.

If you are on a tight budget and need a decent U135 Wind netboook worth a look. But if you can shell out an addiutional $ 50, buy Eee PC 1005PE instead.
