The second reason why you should look into purchasing an LED flashlight is because due to its superior longevity over traditional flashlights. Incandescent bulbs produce vast amounts of heat, which eventually leads to a decreased life for the bulb. LED flashlights don't have this problem. The majority of the LED flashlights have an aluminum body which allow for the dissipation of heat. LED flashlights last between 25,000 to 45,000 hours, compared to 500 to 1,500 hours for traditional flashlights.

The last reason, why should have an LED flashlight instead of a traditional flashlight, is durability. LED flashlights are build to last, and can survive punishment, that traditional flashlights could not. One word that is most commonly used to describe LED flashlights is: rugged. LED flashlights are tough, and it can normally take a lot of abuse. LED flashlights can be stored and be used anywhere under any condition and still function optimally.
