Shoppers Guide to Buying 37" LCD TVs

Submitted by John Lewis

When buying an LCD television, you should be familiar with the brands and the sizes that the TVs come in. Some of the better brands are Panasonic televisions, Samsung televisions and Sony televisions. LCD televisions are the most prominent on the market today, but shopping around is key. Finding the LCD TV that is going to not only last, but won't strain your wallet is essential.

Determining what the size of your television should be doesn't have to be as hard as you would think. If you're shopping for your bedroom or your kitchen, a 32" LCD TV could be an excellent addition. If you are looking for something reminiscent of a home theatre, a 42" LCD TV could be perfect. However, if you're looking for something that is going to be great either in the living room or you bedroom, the 37 LCD TV is the best bet. This size is great for personal viewing and a living room atmosphere as the screen isn't too small, but won't overpower your room.

Ask yourself what you're going to be using your television for. If you're going to have your TV in your living room or bedroom, determine what you're going to be watching on it. If you're just looking for something to catch the local news on, then you don't have to worry so much about the inputs. If you're going to using your television for gaming or watching Blu Ray movies, then you're going to want a television with multiple inputs. Gaming consoles, digital television stations and Blu Ray players all use HDMI. When choosing your television, decide on how many designated HDMI inputs you are going to need.

When you go the store that you're going to buy the TV from, don't be afraid to ask questions. Ask the sales associate what they believe the best long-term solution for you would be. With technology constantly changing, you don't want to buy a model that is going to obsolete within the next year. However, remember that the most expensive LCD TV isn't always the best TV.

Upgrading your old rear projection TV to an LCD television is a great solution for many consumers to enjoy the movie theatre experience in their own home. When buying your television always determine your budget and what you're going to be using it for.
