Top Ten Insane Party Costumes

Fancy dress costumes aren't just for Halloween, everyone loves to dress up for parties and special occasions, especially students (who seem to have more time for it than the rest of us). With that in mind there's often great competition, and sometimes even pressure, on finding just the right costume to trump everyone else's efforts.

Fancy dress costumes can be as elaborate or as simple as possible, but however elaborate and costly they are, it doesn't necessarily mean they're any more insane and over-the-top.

For example, one of the simplest costumes you could wear for a fancy dress party would be that of the Incredible Hulk. All you'd need is some green face paint (lots of it) and some purple shorts. If you've the nerve to wear that costume, you can guarantee it will go down a treat.

Make-up is definitely the way to go for insane costumes as you can create any character with face paints and make-up. You could be a vampire, a zombie, a murder victim or a drag queen. The choice is yours.

If you really like to go over-the-top with your fancy dress costumes, you could be a Transformer. With the right costume you can be a robot one minute and then fold yourself up to be a car, but human sized.
