Types of Label Dispensers and Their Advantages

Industrial packaging involves a series of tasks like packing, sealing, labeling etc. Separate equipments are used to perform these tasks. Big firms which produce huge quantities of products for sale use advanced label dispensers that help them increase their productivity by merging the task of packaging and labeling in a single operation. Label dispensers come in varied forms depending upon the volume of goods that need labeling.

There are basically three types of label dispensers found in the market, these are manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic or electric label dispensers.

Manual label dispensers as the name implies are used manually for peeling the back paper of a label. The label is then stuck on the desired area of the packed item. This is a light duty machine which is used when the volume of items to be labeled is less. Generally, this machine is used in households to put tags on packed goods during home shifting.

The semi-automatic machines ones are used to put tags in a row of objects. Instead of pulling the back paper of a label manually, a foot switch is used for the purpose. Such a machine can detect packed items that have not been tagged, and stick a label on them. Semi-automatic machines are generally used for bulk mailing purposes. These gadgets can be operated very easily and voltage fluctuation causes no harm to them. When you have installed a semi-automatic label dispenser, you must check with the vendor if they provide repair and replacement services. These machines need to be serviced regularly to keep them in proper working condition.

Finally, the fully automatic electric machine is used in huge manufacturing firms. They offer many advantages.

1.You can cut down labor costs significantly as tasks such as picking up a tag, peeling its back sheet and sticking it on the products are all done by a single machine.

2.Operator fatigue in case of this machine is zero compared to a human being. When these tasks are performed by a person he or she can develop various diseases like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and the like. But while using a machine these possibilities are eliminated and the job is also performed accurately.

3.Since the accuracy level of a fully automatic machine is very high, wastage of labels is reduced to a great extent.

You can get these machines along with after sales services like repairing, replacement and installation from Industrial Packaging Supplies (IPS). Do visit their website to know more about their products and services.
