Vacuum Cleaner Comparison

Submitted by tim98205

Vacuum cleaners are all different because everyone’s house and needs are different. Each type of vacuum cleaner has its own advantages and disadvantages. There is no “correct” choice to this complex problem. Below is a list of all the different types of vacuum cleaners.

Conventional vacuums

These include upright and canisters. These are used both for commercial and residential cleaning. The dirt is collected in either a bag or a collecting section of the vacuum. These bagless cleaners have gained popularity over the last few years.

Wet/Dry vacuums

These are specially designed to clean up liquid spills, as well as dry. A good exhaust system is the secrete to its success.

Back pack vacuums

These are strapped onto your back so they can be easily carried around. Because it’s easy to reach all the different areas they are often times used to clean stores.

Centralized vacuums

These are installed as the utility provision of a building. They have a centralized base where the dirt is disposed into. They usually have much higher suction then the other kinds of vacuums.

Robotic vacuums

This is your “lazy man’s” vacuum cleaner. It’s the most recent development in cleaning. The robot will automatically go around the room sucking up dirt as it goes. All you need to do is turn it on & empty the bags. You don’t even have to be present while it does its thing. It’s a really nice feeling to come home after a log day at work to a house that’s nice and clean.

It’s never easy deciding on which vacuum if right for you. Make sure you take your time with this important decision. Keep in mind that the vacuum you choose will be with you for years to come and with a little research you’ll be able to find one in no time.
