What do you call your label paper?Submitted by benjaminrusel Wed, 17 Feb 2010
Well there's a leading question if ever I've heard one. The truth of the matter is, this question could apply to just any subject or object imaginable. This article however, is going to focus on the variety of uses that a simple A4 sheet of paper with a label in it can have or offer you and is imaginatively called an Integrated Label in our ever developing industry.
One could use their forms as despatch notes, I guess to be honest this is one of the more popular uses of a form with a label within it. You can simply laser your customers order details onto the sheet including their address on the label section and hey presto, you have a copy of their order to go IN the box and a label to address the OUTSIDE of the box, saving no end of time in the post room. They could also be used as a returns note, since it is possible to have more than one label on a sheet, it is possible to include a 2nd label with your own address on it that ensures the client has any easy way to return any goods. The forms have been used as a delivery note too, we've all had delivery drivers turn up at the door with the consignment along with the A4 label sheet, when the label is signed it is peeled off by the driver, stuck in to his own log book and the remainder of the sheet is handed to the recipient as proof of delivery. Of course it's not just in the postal world that this idea has been used, we are seeing it more and more in the membership club environment as a temporary membership card or even at trade events where the sheet contains information and the delegates name is printed on the label as a delegate name badge. The options are pretty much endless as I'm sure you will agree, take some time to have a think as to how an integrated label can enhance your business, you may just surprise yourself.
