5 signs that he is getting too serious too soon in a relationship

How can someone tell when the person they are dating believes the relationship to be more serious than it actually is? By referring to the below information, one can assess the situation and come to their own conclusion. If it can be stopped early on, both parties may be saved from any hurt feelings.

1. He assumes that plans have already been made for the weekend. In other words, he has already planned out things to do with the person he is seeing, without even bothering to ask them on the date first. It is important to let him know that availability for these plans is not always an option.

2. He gives presents that are a bit more personal than the level of the relationship would allow. While it is all well and good to give the gift of books or concert tickets, perfume or expensive jewellery is a sign that he is taking it to the next step on his own. This person should be informed over what is acceptable for gift giving, and should they cross that boundary line, the gifts should be given back; keeping the gifts will only encourage him and fail to solve the problem.

3. Another one of the 5 signs that he is getting too serious too soon in a relationship is when he tries to get his date to meet up with members of his family. When somebody takes the person they like to meet the people who mean the most to them, it is a sign that he is serious and looking to integrate them into his family.

4. He calls at least once a day. For many people in a casual relationship, it is not uncommon to go a few days without speaking a single word to the other person. However, should he choose to call or email several times a day, even for the most unimportant things, it is time to be alarmed.

5. The final of the 5 signs that he is getting too serious too soon in a relationship is planning out things for the future. This is different from making weekend plans; in this sense, they are planning out the wedding, even how many kids they might have with the person they are seeing, all before they have hit the three month anniversary. It should be made clear that the relationship may head in that direction, but only time would tell.
