A Valentines Idea To Bring Back The Magic

Submitted by SugarBritches

Scratching your head, racking your brain, the light bulb just won't come on? Valentine's is traditionally a day for lovers to celebrate. Sadly, it will be just another ordinary day for lots of couples, or a day filled with anxiety for others. Maybe a perfunctory box of candy or some obligatory flowers from the florist will appear, but no real loving connection will be made between most couples.
This situation exists in spite of the fact that valentine propaganda and advertising is everywhere you look right now. The Internet is buzzing with ideas of every sort for valentine dates, valentine gifts, valentine parties, and there is even plenty of valentine advice on how to attract the opposite sex.
But, if you are frustrated that your relationship doesn't have the magic and romance that it once had, what good will all these super duper valentine's ideas do? Living with the same partner for a long time can become comfortable, mundane, or old hat. We usually refer to these relationships as "stable". Ouch! That hurt didn't it?
Does this sound like and feel like your relationship? What can you do to reignite your own special brand of magic? What can you do to repair, rekindle, and re-spark your existing relationship. Here are some simple, fun and creative ideas to reignite that boundless invisible feeling that connects you and your sweetheart.
First, remember who YOU are. You are not cooking, cleaning, picking up children, shopping, working, socializing, going out with the guys, attending events, or worrying about your finances. These are just some things you do; they do not describe who you are. You are a worthy, beautiful, creative, giving, unique in the entire world individual. Believe yourself to be this person and you will begin to radiate this to your partner and everyone around you.
Next, travel back in time and recall the wonderful special loving feelings you had when you first met your love. Think of al the precious, endearing, little and big things your love has done for you. Could have been a certain look, a knowing smile, or just a loving touch. Maybe it was quiet understanding during a difficult time. Take a few minutes to be thankful for the one you are with.
Now for the fun stuff….
· Make it personal, leave love notes all around the house. Insert one in the briefcase, wallet or purse; try to sneak one into the desk drawer at work. Enlist the secretary's help if possible.

. Engrave a secret pet name on a piece of jewelry.

· Take a simple and romantic trip to a destination you both love.

· Get a romantic makeover for your bedroom. My Mom did this once and my dad was thrilled. He even helped her cover the headboard with a new romantic fabric.
· If you're adventurous, try hiking up the mountains and spending the night in the wilderness. Renew your connection with nature and your sweetheart.

· Pretend to go to work on valentine's morning, but return shortly with hugs, kisses, flowers and candles.
· Take your love to the place where you first met.
· Take a walk in the park and give your partner a ride on the swings.
· Drive to the country, find some snow and make snow angels. Alternately, find a grassy hill, and lie with your partner gazing at the clouds.

· Leave a long-stem rose where your partner will find it. Attach a note on the stem saying: "Thank you for coming into my life."

· Spice up your lovemaking. This is probably the most profound way to rekindle the romance in your relationship. Surprise your partner with a little gift after you make love, or give your partner a massage before or after, or just spend some time staring into each other's eyes.
Can you guess why this last idea is so important? If you spice it up, chances are you and your partner will naturally do romantic things for each other. Why? Because passionate lovemaking connects two people in a meaningful and unexplainable way that nothing else can.
