Before marrying an NRI

Marriage is the most important decision, which can cost even the whole life of a human being. You need to be very careful, while choosing a life partner for yourself, or choosing a groom or bride for your daughter or the son, respectively. There are a hundred of cheating cases and dowry matters; we get to hear every day, which are even sometimes the hot topics for discussion. In some cases, even the bride has reached the fatal conditions due to torchers given by her in- laws or by her husband. But, still we don't take lessons from these cases, and get trapped in the fake show off, done by the bride's or the groom's side. We seriously need to be very careful, because, marriage is a decision, on which the whole life of a person depends. Especially, before finalising your marriage or the marriage of your daughter or son, to an NRI, a lot of research must be done.

We generally tend to get impressed by the mere tag NRI, and think it hardly matters, if we do not do a proper research, because, the people must be good as they possesses a good reputation outside India, as shown by them. But, in case of fixing your matrimony alliance with an NRI Indian, you need to be very careful and observant. Following are few of the steps, which should be followed before, letting your daughter marry an NRI Indian:

 Proper research should be done, even before fixing the first meeting with the NRI family. Their address, sir name, family background, popularity and image they carry in the society must be checked well in advance. These days, internet is a great source to check somebody's credibility and if the person is linking himself to a renowned business group or organisation, then it becomes far easier to check on the statements made by him.

 The family should be tested in terms of the dowry involvement, whether they are interested in taking dowry or not. Because, it signifies their intention for marrying your daughter, that whether they are really interested in fixing marriage of their NRI son to your Indian daughter, or they are just after your money.

 The values and the family background possessed by the members of the family should be checked, because at last you daughter has to go and adjust in the atmosphere of that family, so their status in the society should be checked before.

 NRI's are often referred to as non reliable Indians, therefore, you should never go on the easy to go image and innocent image carried by them, each and every point mentioned by them should be counter questioned and dig into depth.

 Now- a- days, you cannot even trust your relatives, if some of your distant relative is living in the far- away land, and they come to you with a marriage proposal of their son's marriage. They should even not be believed at once, a thorough check up should be done in terms of their originality and the family status, and their nature, because you must be aware of the temper possessed by the family members, as you daughter has to tackle them for her whole life.

Marriage being the most important and crucial decision of your life, should be taken with great care and thought. It should not be a hay- way decision, taken in seconds, the time, which your daughter has to spend with the groom and his family is unlimited so considering this fact, a respectable amount of time, should also be spent while doing the research on the groom's family and the status possessed by them in the society. especially in case of NRI groom or family, special attention should be given to the fact, that after marrying an NRI groom, your daughter will go far away from your eyes and will hardly be accessible to you, that in the reach of your known- ones, friends and society.
