Commitment in Marriages

Submitted by jeevansathi

Commitment is the other name to marriage. Especially, in Indian marriages, the bond of marriage is long lasting based on the essence of love and commitment. While taking the vows of marriage, the bride and the groom promises to be with each other, that is they make a commitment to be with each other for the life time. Marriages in India or abroad both are considered to be the purest of the relations that any human being shares in his lifetime. Indian marriages are said to be standing on the basis of life time commitment, which the bride and groom, makes at the time of marriage.

Indian marriages are surely the symbol of pure commitment, as the first step, which the bride and groom take after marriage, is promising each other with their life time support. The bride and the groom in case of arranged marriages, even before love, make life long commitment to be with each other for the rest of their lives. The essence of every Indian marriage lies in the promise, which the couple makes to each other, at the wedding, of being together forever. It is not something to say or show off, but the bond of marriage itself, says, that the bride and groom are each others supporters and partners for each and every thing they do. The bride and the groom are always held with the responsibilities of bringing smiles on each other's faces. It is in their hands whether they sustain their bond by filling in with the sweetest moments to cherish, or ruin it with the elements of doubt5 or hatred.

Making or breaking the commitment is purely in the hands of the married couple. Sustaining the commitment in a marriage is highly dependent on the bride and the groom, as in how and what all they put in to make the bond of marriage stronger and unbreakable. The bride and the groom should make sure that their relation is free from the entire if's' and but's, making it a clear and smooth road towards the achievement of a successful and a happy married life. Factors like misunderstanding, doubts, communication gaps, rise to differences between the married couple, leading to problems between the bride and the groom.

Some of the most important factors, which the bride and groom, should keep in mind, to ensure that the commitment of their marriage bond remains strong forever are:

 Trust: The bride and the groom should possess indefinite trust and confidence on each other. Small issues related to mistrust and confusions, can lead to big problems, which in future can hamper the growth of the relation.

 Understanding: If the bride and groom trust each other, then they are bound to have an amazing understanding between them, which is the most important factor to instil, the result of which leads to a contented married life.

 Love and support: These are the basics of any relationship. And moreover, love forms the zeal, which motivates the person to go ahead in his relation and do things to make the relation more beautiful and strong. Constant support by the life partner motivates the other person, towards the achievement of his goal of life.

Thus, one can say, that it entirely depends on the bride and the groom as in how they nourish their relation of commitment, towards the most sacred bond of marriage. The steps taken or the seeds sown by the bride and groom towards the accomplishment of a successful and trustworthy marriage, is what leads the couple, to a contended and a strong bond of marriage. The sanctity and the sacredness of the marriage, is based on the commitment and the accomplishment of the commitments, without any diversions, which leads to hurdle- free and a joyful married life.
