Exactly what Happens when the Honeymoon is Over?

It occurs, almost in the wink of an eye, and it occurs all the time. The novelty of a fresh relationship eventually wears off. When you have finished the honeymoon period when it feels as if you and your partner can not bear to be separated from one and other, exactly what occurs after that?

As soon as couples have fallen into the boring responsibilities of regular life and get involved with working and bringing up a family, by then the relationship has changed dramatically and the honeymoon is simply a lovely recollection of the earlier days. This is not necessarily a negative time, and it can either go well or not so well.

The Honeymoon is finished

The Honeymoon is a perfectly natural and necessary phase in a relationship, and it never lasts without end. The Honeymoon stage is intended to solidify a relationship and prepare the way for things to come. If things go well, the natural next phase is the bringing up of kids and can be a mutually pleasing time when both you and your other half will like life's perfectly natural development by growing nearer as a couple by sharing the experience.

Every now and then though, things can go south once the honeymoon phase is over, and is commonly when issues like infidelity can come up. Frequently people make the error of imagining that the honeymoon phase can carry on without end, and even though this can be partially true, to an extent, you need grow beyond a limiting concept of imagining things should continue as they once were. Life is about conversion and growth, and the changes in life can be enriching, and lead you to greater levels of fulfillment. The dilemma is, we are frequently hesitant to change and we limit ourselves by hanging onto the past, wanting certain things to stay as they previously were and not as they are, can be or should be.

Lets say that you and your partner or spouse have already passed the honeymoon phase and the novelty of your relationship has already worn off. If you begin letting the minor things slide, that is when the foundation of your dedication to each other may begin deteriorating.

None the less, your efforts can only get you so far. Giving importance to your partner and keeping the fire constantly burning, so to speak, requires constant effort on both of your parts. You could feel overlooked and unappreciated and this is the critically when you could wind up looking for an alternative person to fill that gap that your partner has left unrecognized.
