Great Valentine Day IdeasSubmitted by SugarBritches
Get flowers. No, I don't mean like every Tom, Dick and Harry gets. Don't go and get a dozen dying flowers from the local flower shop. Give something that is living and that will continue to give and remind your sweetheart of your love, long after Valentines Day has passed. Give a Jackson and Perkins Rose Bush. My favorite is the Double Delight. They will stay alive for several weeks until you can plant them, so not to worry.
What about a little booklet, pieces of paper, doesn't really matter what it is written on…it is the message that counts. You can call it "Acts of Love"…it would be the times that your loved one did things for you that meant a lot to YOU. It doesn't matter if anyone else thought they were biggies or not. Let your sweetheart know that these unheralded acts of love touched your heart. Take the time and write it down. This is a terrific way to show how much you appreciate all the special things your special one does for you. Go to your chocolate shop and have the "pet name" you have for your love made from chocolate. (I am talking the sweet, endearing name you have for them). I know, I know there are so many types and brands of chocolates and all of them are wonderful…but this is just a tad more special, have it made from their favorite chocolate. Who could ever forget a Valentine's surprise like this one. Make up stationery "supply box" of sticky notes (ones that are a different color than usual), some pens & pencils, some brightly colored paper clips, maybe a supply of stamps, and just basic stuff that is used everyday, however, when your sweetheart uses the supplies from this special box, immediately because of the special meaning these items have, those loving feelings will return all over again. Make a "Remember When Jar"…These are so right on, very easy, but very memorable. Simply write out on bits of paper all of your special memories of events, vacations, celebrations, and crazy things, etc that you have experienced as a couple and put them in a beautiful jar or box and re-experience the magic. Fun, fun, fun…You will be laughing and loving the night away. About the Author
