Marriage value is a very broad subject. You will think about the worth or importance of a marriage. We are living in days where marriage value has really declined. This is evident in the high level of divorce cases. Marriage is no longer a lucrative venture. People get married actively but, the percentage that manages to stay with their spouse is just half. This is both interesting and sad. Marriage value therefore needs to be analyzed so that we can come up with solutions that will enhance our relationships. Many young people no longer hold that value or respect for marriage. This is partly because they have seen so many sad endings. People might have changed and, the level of commitment in a marital union is reducing by the day. First, let us travel back in time to find out what our great grandparents did that we do not do. Marriage took place for almost every single in the olden days. In other words every man or woman of marriage age got married. This happened in many cultures of the world. Since everyone had their spouse, the number of single people was not as high as it is today.

Cases of infidelity were therefore lower compared to today. What we are seeing today is a growing number of people who have never been married or those that are divorced. For this reason, those who are married have many options and they know they will get other spouses in case of divorce. Cases of infidelity are also high because there is great competition as singles search for those men and women who represent what they would want in a spouse. In often times, married men are highly valued. They represent security and affection. With so many challenges in marriage, the value is not what it used to be. In the earlier days, people were much more committed to their religion or culture. In many places, family was valued most and, anyone who acted contrary to what was required, would face judgment thereof. Today, we are living in impunity where moral values have decayed to unbelievable levels.

Cheating on a spouse is not a big deal and, all religious values have been put aside in this regard. In Christianity, divorce is highly prohibited and this is the sentiment of many other religious centers. The value of patience and love has been thrown to the dogs and, today, divorce is a mainstay in Christian circles. Marriage value has consequently been greatly affected. The only way to add value to marriage is to start with a positive attitude. We need a change of attitude. This is if you want to make your situation better and add value to it. Let us start focusing on the success stories because they are many. If not, the very fiber of society will be affected. There are so many people who advocate for the abolition of marriage. The best thing is to decide on the course of your life and get on with it. Value can only be added when every person takes deliberate steps to make it better.
