Your world has fallen in because you have found out that the love of your life has been having an affair. You are overwhelmed by a totally helpless feeling of loneliness. Here are some interesting facts that are being revealed with regard to infidelity in marriage: • Around 22 percent of men who took part, revealed that they had had an affair of a sexual kind at least once since they had been married. • around 14 percent of women who are currently married admitted that they had had a sexual relationship outside of their relationship. • The statistics concerning those who had been cheated on reveal that 70 percent of women and 54 percent of men had no inkling that their partners were cheating on them. • In the United States alone, 17 percent of divorces are caused directly by unfaithfulness. The definitive overall number of cases is unknown. While there is no good reason for infidelity, the facts above undoubtedly show that you are not alone when it comes to dealing with the heartache of trying to survive infidelity. Thousands of people all over the world are experiencing exactly the same emotions as you are and are trying to come to terms with their partner's infidelity. This will come as very little comfort to you but it does highlight the fact that you are not on your own. Despite the fact that infidelity is the main cause of divorce, it doesn't mean that you cannot overcome it. With the proper counseling, many couples are finding it possible to stay together and enjoy a much better relationship than the one they had before the infidelity.You may be forgiven for thinking that there is no way back from an affair, but it is more common than you may realize for couples to survive infidelity.
