Today’s society is flush with many misconceptions about what spirituality is. Many view spiritual seekers as those “crazy” people that practice magical spells and voodoo. Others think spirituality runs counter to their religious beliefs. Then there is the idea that one must give up family and worldly possessions, don a yellow gown, and move into a Buddhist monastery to find the truth. And last but not least, there are those who have become so entrenched in their egos that they don’t even know that they have a spirit.

What if you could have all of the abundance, love, and happiness that you desire? The paradox is that you must be grateful for all of your gifts, while in the same breath not associate who you are with the house you live in, car you drive, job you work at, or spouse you marry.

It is wonderful to be blessed with beautiful and luxurious material items. However, you must not fall prey to the false truth of seeking your identity through those items. If you stumble into this trap, consider the consequences of what may happen when you lose that corporate job. This could result in a financial breakdown of sorts, in that you may have to sell your prized home, car, and possessions – propelling a marriage breakdown because your or your spouse’s sense of self was tied to a particular lifestyle. Unfortunately, this happens every day to people in all walks of life. Success in the spiritual world is not measured in dollars, but in love, forgiveness, and compassion.

My life has been a humbling display of how one can get thrown off course and into the ditch if they don’t heed the words of spirit. In retrospect, if you follow this guidance, you can transcend your life to one that is filled with all that you desire.

You will want to start your journey equipped with the armor only designed for the toughest of warriors. Spiritual armor is not the heavy metals of the past but a bubble of white light that surrounds your person radiating love as your shield and truth as your sword. Your journey into the light of a spiritually sound and sexy marriage begins with these steps.
1) Language of Love: Thoughts and words create your reality, so re-program your internal dialogue to that of positive affirmations. Expressions of love and gratitude are essential.
2) Emotional Streamlining: Do not give energy to what you fear. Focus only on what you desire. Construct a relationship visualization board together so you may uncover what you desire.
3) Simplify your Lives: Lead a healthier life so you may create a balanced body-mind connection. Eat healthier foods, exercise, and take time for yourself each day to do something that brings you pleasure. Recognize and release any unresolved issues and pain from your past so that you may move forward cleansed.
4) Giving is Receiving: What you give to others is what you get back. Learn to give love from a place of good intentions.

These steps promote an opening to inner guidance and assist in aligning your life with God’s will, thus bringing your relationship to a state of peace and balance. Married life can be blissful if you both discover your divine connection and incorporate an attitude of joy. Transformation is not only possible, but probable, if you decide to move forward by holding the highest and most radiant vision of your marriage in your mind’s eye.

All of this may seem like a lot of work, and work doesn’t usually equate to being sexy. However, when a person begins to unveil the essence of their spirit, they embark on a journey of discovering who they truly are. This investment is rewarded by transforming your marriage into a very sexy one through living every day with a passion and joy in your heart, knowing that you are following your life’s purpose. In doing so, you are showered with peace in your heart, regardless of the curveballs that lie ahead.

Spirituality and sexiness start merging when one allows their spirit to light the way, which gives the courage and faith needed to follow that inner guidance. Our culture tends to obsess about what is happening in the bedroom, but much of the advice focuses on tips, techniques, and who is doing what. Making time for the sacred in your own life adds a sacred dimension to the sexual relationship, which enhances it profoundly. This is a fresh and hip way to live, with balance as your foundation. This is not about your physical appearance, but what you look like inside. Tapping into this inner beauty gives you the power to change your life for the better.

You will be glad to discover that you don’t have to put on a white robe, shave your head, and live in a monastery to have spiritual awakening or enlightenment. Instead, put on your sunglasses, rejoice in your abundance, and let your heart radiate sunshine so bright that everyone you encounter.
