Traditional Bingo halls are still enjoyed by many, however online Bingo has caught on and is reaching younger people in more creative ways. Bingo has always been an extremely popular game, but has what was once seen as an innocent game now entered the political arena? Democrats will be happy to hear they now have something to keep them occupied during a speck by Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin. On the Internet, a “Palin Bingo” game has been recently circulating that allows one to uncap their markers and mark when the Governor says popular buzzwords known as “Palin-isms.” Popular "Palin" phrases that are printed on the cards include “Maverick,” “Alaska,” “Reformers,” “Glass Ceiling,” “Bridge to Nowhere,” and “Hockey Mom".

To be expected, the Democrats are having a field day with this one, and they are circulating it across the net to poke fun at the popular Vice Presidential candidate. The Republicans aren’t taking this lying down however. There have been similar bingo cards created online for Democratic vice Presidential candidate Joe Biden as well. It just so happens that each candidate’s last name is exactly five letters and fits perfect on a bingo card. Whether you choose to partake in this bingo fun or not, one thing is for sure. There is arguably more attention focused on the Vice President candidates than Barack Obama and John McCain. While a respectable 54.7 Million watched the first presidential debate, according to the Nielsen ratings, nearly 70 Million tuned into the debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. This is unprecedented!

A website has even been created for this recent craze, PalinBingo.com, and features four bingo cards to print off and use during future speeches that she gives. Each square contains words Palin uses frequently in her speeches and the free space in the middle is called “air space.” Like in real bingo, a player wins by checking five straight boxes in a straight or horizontal line. You can even get a “Media Black Out” if all the boxes are checked, clearly poking fun at her dislike for the media. So, if you’re looking to avoid the “bridge to nowhere,” and party with a "hockey mom" in Alaska, this is a game for you! It’s all in good fun, and is a creative way to pass the time when watching political speeches.

If, on the other hand, you like to keep your politics and bingo separate then head down to meccabingo.com where you could play one of the free games for a bit of fun, or try your luck on one of the days big jackpot games.
