Cogun Partners with Rock Bridge Community ChurchSubmitted by info@cogun.com
North Lima, OH, January 18, 2008 - Cogun, Inc. (Cogun), the leading design/build, national church contractor today announced the start of construction for Rock Bridge Community Church. The first phase (Phase I) will be for a soon-to-be renovated worship space and church coffee house called Stage 123. The renovated worship space will augment the already growing community church in Whitfield County, Georgia with an extra 500 seat worship space billed as a "satellite" space across the street from their existing 1100 seat worship space. As part of its strategy, Rock Bridge Community Church has an additional satellite campus 30 miles to south in Calhoun, GA.
The Phase I space will serve the growing needs of the main campus in Dalton, GA and will have a new, coffee/café area tied to the foyer. Here, attendees and visitors can connect with friends and work on the Wi-Fi in the on-going, revitalized downtown area of Dalton. The worship space (Stage 123) will hold just over 500 seats in the form of a video venue where attendees will see Lead Pastor Matt Evans and worship with live music. The Stage 123 building is an old, 1920s era, Ford dealership that will be restored and updated to meet the needs of this growing church. Phase II, to begin in summer of 2008 will consist of a new ministry area (approx 17,000 SF) for the children of Rock Bridge Community Church and other ministries. "We are excited to serve Rock Bridge Community Church in this capacity," said Bryan Miles, Project Consultant for Cogun. "Rock Bridge Community Church is a unique church that is growing rapidly. With their intense desire to connect disconnected people back to Jesus, they are finding a creative way to facilitate their ministry needs. Cogun was able to help them with their needs by bringing all the players needed to the table for a comprehensive & unique solution. It's an honor to be working alongside this church and their leadership." Cogun partnered with Living Stones Architecture (www.livingstonesarchitecture) based out of Charlotte, NC for the design.
