Mosque in New York - Respect or RespiteSubmitted by bgosur@sbcglobal.net Thu, 2 Sep 2010
In about two weeks all of America, and the world, will remember the horrifying photos and events of nineteen radical Muslims. These nineteen men, and the lots of their confederates, modified the lives of almost 3k families. A number of these families were Muslim.
These men are folk that do not have a heartbeat and have no regard for human life, only the agenda of pushing their faith don't the throats of every human on the face of the earth. There is no freedom of religion with them. It's either their way or death. Now before all of the injuries are healed, they're wanting to build a Mosque two blocks away from where these rotten tragedies happened. The issue is not can they build the Mosque, because they most definitely can. The question is why? There's one only two blocks away. Have they out grown the old one and will they need to expand and build another one? If this is so why build the Mosque so close to where the worst terrorist attack occurred on American soil? A concept just crossed my mind. There are approximately two thousand Mosques in the U. S. How many Christian Churches are there in any Muslim country? That is's a straightforward one to respond. 0! If you're a Christian and living in a Muslim country, you are looked down as a second class voter. You are treated as an outcast. It isn't a brilliant idea. Many are pronouncing this is a calculated spite in America's face, by Al-Qaeda and those that follow their rein of death and fear. Now, we really can't say that this is correct as we truly do not know. Many are asserting we deserve to be over our mourning of the events that occurred on 911. Many are asking, how far does the ground 0 limits go out? Maureen Santora, whose firefighter boy was rubbed out at the trade center, announces ground zero extends way beyond the fenced-off construction site. She says, "it will always be a place where my boy was slaughtered. I do not care what they call this place," Santora claimed. "It will be a cemetery." There is a word that I am thinking of. It's called respect. Respect for the dead. Where folks have died and out of respect for their families and friends you create your actions and words to be in such a fashion as not to disrespect them. I don't care how long it takes. Mourning and recalling is something that does not ever stop. Do you believe the horrors of the concentration camps of World War Two can just be forgotten and obliterated from the minds of those who suffered in that time? Lets return to September 30, 2005. Jyllands-Posten published a cartoon about the Islamic prophet Muhammad in a Danish newspaper. Danish Muslim communities came out from everywhere and had public protests. This created reprinting of the cartoon in 50 countries which deepened the controversy. It escalated into protests across the Muslim world. Violence and rioting, which ended in a hundred deaths. The paper building was burned down. Critics of the cartoons described them as irreverent to the people of the Muslim faith. The opposite side asserted they were an expression of their liberty of speech. Why was the Muslim world so sad? Why did they come out with such an overwhelming show of outrage for the wrong way they felt they were treated? They felt that they were disrespected, and they demonstrated that with such ire that folk died. My question is why can't they see that respect for the victims families of 911? Where is their sensitiveness for them? Where is the status that they desire everybody to show them, but are so unwilling to give to any person else? Why were not these same groups coming out and demonstrating those hideous attacks? Why didn't they simply say, we do not agree with this. This doesn't represent our Muslim faith? a lot of questions but we are only getting prepared statements and not real answers. Our own president, ( who has a Muslin name BTW ), backs the building of the Mosque. He sites religious freedom as his reason. Naturally he backs lots of things the American public don't want. He's's used to shoving things down the throats of all American citizens that they do not want. Medical care for one. If this is how the folks of the Muslim religion act ; if this is the way in which I see Muslim communities, that are around me, act or don't act ; if what I see portrayed in the news media and around the globe is the way real Muslims are, then you can keep it. I don't want anything to do with it. If you are a Muslim and you don't believe in slaughtering folks, just because they don't seem to be of your faith, or you do not agree with the way these terrorist organizations around the globe are doing things, then stand up straight and be counted. Say what you think. You know you can still do that in America.
