The Seal and Warding Off Insanity as You AgeSubmitted by jasonwitt
When you become sealed you start to notice your diet. You start to eat foods like fish and fruits and vegetables more. And now a study shows this can cut the risk you have of getting dementia as you grow older.
You receive the Seal in your forehead. Right away it affects your thoughts. Though you may not think of it when you are sealed as a younger person, you begin to think about it as you grow a little older. Your diet. French researchers published their findings in the November 13 journal Neurology. They found that a diet rich in Omega-3 oils and fruits and vegetables may ward off dementia and Alzheimer's disease for those growing older. There were two kinds of oils looked at, the Omega-3 found in oils like canola and flax oil and Omega-6 which is much more common in the American diet, found in oils like soybean oil and corn oil. Omega-3 oils are also found in most beef products widely available to American consumers. To get beef with Omega-6 in it you have to buy organic beef and make sure it is grass-fed. The reason you want to avoid Omega-6 fatty acids is because this study found Omega-6 can increase the risk of having some memory problems associated with aging. It may happen naturally but it can be hindered instead of accelerated. And it seems to be hindered by taking plenty of Omega-3 fatty acids. The study found that people consuming a diet rich in these oils had 60 percent less of a chance to develop any dementia as they age. And when those people continually ate a lot of fruits and vegetables it cut the chances of dementia down another 30 percent. Eating fish once a week also cut the chances of dementia by 40 percent and Alzheimer's by 35 percent. Finally the study showed a frightening result. People who consume the Omega-6 oils without consuming any Omega-3 oils were twice as likely to develop dementia even without family history. People who have certain genetic predispositions to Alzheimer's do not get their risk factors cut so much by their diet. The risk only goes down among people who do not have a family history of that one gene that causes the disease. That gene is the ApoE4 gene. But the good news is most people do not have that gene. So most people will be able to secure sanity for themselves by changing their diet as they grow older. The scientists need to do more research before they know what to recommend as amounts of the oils in your diet. But this is a beginning. And it shows how changing the way you eat can keep your life from changing--for the worse. The Seal in your forehead affects your thoughts. And God wants you to share your thoughts with Him. So you know His thoughts. And He knows your thoughts. So you talk to each other. God does not want you to suffer any dementia or Alzheimer's symptoms where your thoughts are changed by the disease. He wants you to stay healthy as long as you live so you can stay close to Him. Changing your diet is a good way to ensure that you will stay close to God. If you have not changed your diet yet now is a good time to start. And if you have not been sealed yet now is a good time to become sealed. About the Author
