Where are you delivering your youth sermons?

Your youth sermons should be very important part of your youth ministry. When you are speaking directly to your youth ministry students you're delivering the word of Jesus Christ and you are spreading the word of God to the teenagers and a youth of your community. That s why when you are delivering the word of God to your students you should always take it very seriously and so should your local church.
If your youth ministry is part of your church you should be in constant contact with the senior members of your church to make sure that your youth ministry is getting the attention and the resources that is needed to deliver a dynamic learning experience for your youth ministry students. When you are talking to the senior members of your church by your youth ministry you should always be bringing up ideas on how you can further and how you can better the experience for your youth ministry students. A great way to get your students involved in the overall church activities is by getting them to speak in front of the general congregation of your church. When you as a youth minister or one of your students get to speak in front of your church you are putting a spotlight on your youth ministry activities and any outreach programs that you are leaving along with your youth ministry. Any attention that you can draw to youth ministry within the general congregation is a great thing.
Every single one of your students has a lot to share about life and also about the experiences that he or she goes through on a daily basis. If you find appropriate you should ask of the senior members of your church if it would be okay for some of your students to speak in front of the congregation of the church. You should have a preplanned set of topics that you want to cover for a certain church service. For example you could have all your students prepare a sermon that they would deliver to the general congregation of your church on the topic of forgiveness. With a couple weeks or months of preparation you youth ministry students can come together and help each other write down their thoughts and ideas which can be turned into interesting sermons that can be delivered to the congregation of the church. This experience will not only unite your youth ministry but give your students a chance to get up in front of a large amount of people can share their witness and their passion for Jesus Christ.
For you or one of your students delivered a sermon to the congregation of your church might be stepping out of your normal comfort. But the truth is it only gets easier the more and more you do it. By getting up in front of people and sharing your youth ministry experiences as a youth leader, or by having one of your students or a group of your students get up and deliver their experiences as teenagers living in the community, you'll be able to connect more and more to other members of your church who may be able to help you expand your youth ministry work.
