Male Impotence and Male Impotence TreatmentsSubmitted by Dr. Mital John Wed, 7 Apr 2010
Impotence, sometimes referred to as erectile dysfunction, is the inability to get or keep a firm erection during intercourse. Impotence interferes with intercourse and reproduction. According to the National Kidney and Urologic Diseases Information Clearinghouse website, problems include lack of sexual desire, ejaculation issues and problems achieving orgasms. Physiological factors are common causes of impotence in young men.
Some researchers believe one of the major causes of impotence in males is high or low blood sugar, caused by eating foods high in sugar and empty carbohydrates. A typical fast food diet such as a hamburger, fries and a coke with a candy bar snack does not support male glands, or aid in the production of sperm, a key factor in the ability to perform sexually. Regulating blood sugar nutritionally may help a large percentage of males perform sexually without excessive cost or side effects. Male fertility don't see it in isolation: -Male fertility does not exist on its own; its part of our overall body functions and what you put into your body affects how efficiently it operates. Male fertility & Nutrition: -Not eating the right diet can have the following impact: It can impair hormone function, inhibit sperm production, and produce abnormal sperm. Male Impotence: - Approximately 10 percent of all men will one day be unable to achieve or maintain an erection. A man who cannot maintain an erect penis is unable to participate fully in sexual intercourse. * The most common risk factors for impotence are anxiety, stress or relationship conflicts. * Some drugs have side effects that can contribute to impotence. These include diuretics, tricycle antidepressants, beta-blockers, and hormones. * Physical causes of impotence include trauma and disease such as: diabetes; pelvic surgery; spinal injury; glandular problems and multiple sclerosis. Natural Herbal Supplements: - • Moreover, there are some herbal and natural supplements that can be very effective and safe at the same time. These herbal natural supplements are a combination of age confirmed herbs and other nutrients that not only increase testosterone but also boost blood circulation. Some of the herb being used in such formulations include ginseng, ginkgo, Muira Pauma, Tribulus Terrestris , these herbs have been used since ages to enhance male sexual function and potency. • Diet: - Foods rich in zinc and folic acid like sardines, broccoli and avocado are recommended to help increase fertility as they both improve sperm general health, whilst any foods rich in Vitamin A, C and E will help to repair damage done to the DNA of your sperm. Green tea is thought to boost energy levels and Ginkgo has been show to increase circulation to blood capillaries which will help to improve sexual energy and performance. • Vitamins that improve sperm production: - Vitamin C: - Vitamin C is an antioxidant that improves sperm quality and keeps it from clumping together (thus improving sperm motility too). Vitamin C also protects the DNA within sperm from damage. Vitamin E: - Vitamin E has a beneficial antioxidant activity that is known to increase fertility in both men and women. It helps to increase sperm production.
