10 Top Fantasy Football League TipsSubmitted by RickG2 Tue, 16 Jun 2009
NFL aficionados are ALWAYS ready for some football. We religiously watch 14 NFL games per week, during the regular season. We watch every pre-game show and post-game interview available. We analyze every stat from each battle on the gridiron. Yet we still are not satisfied. If you love NFL football yet want a more hands-on approach, then you should consider fantasy football. Fantasy football puts you in the driver\'s seat. Here are some basic tips to help give you the winning edge in your NFL fantasy football league.
1. Master the scoring rules of your fantasy football league As with any other game, make sure to know the rules. For instance, learn whether you rack up points for running back yardage or TDs. 2. Do your homework early Do your research and analysis weeks before the draft. This will give you an edge. Although it will not assure you of a successful season, it will increase your chances of achieving one. 3. Get enough sleep before your fantasy draft Make sure to get plenty of shut-eye prior to your fantasy draft. Also, eat some brain food beforehand. These steps will increase your likelihood of selecting outstanding players and having a successful season. 4. Make matchups minor Matchups of teams should only be significant if the choice of starters when your decision about who to start, is insignificant. In other words, if you have a solid running back, start him over the other rushers. 5. Be wise to unfair trades Nobody likes to feel as if someone has tricked him. Make sure that you do your homework, so you never fall victim to unfair trade offers. If you make a trade, always ensure that it is always even-handed. 6. Read fantasy football magazines with a grain of salt Such magazines can be a good place to start. However, publishers tend to print them at the start of the NFL season. Thus, they do not factor in battles for startling lineup positions, or injuries during training camp 7. Be objective Avoid personal preferences in terms of players or teams. It is important to remain objective in a fantasy football league. Remember that the goal is to win. Thus, keep your emotions in check and secure the best players available. 8. Access a variety of online sites For good luck, gear up in your nfl products and surf, surf, surf. Make sure to distinguish fact and opinion. Also, get an array of different opinions before making any major decisions. 9. Remember that the season is long Never be disheartened by a low start. If you lose a few games at the start of the season, then the sky is not falling yet. Give your current roster some time. Then consider making one or two trades. 10. Think twice about making trades Make sure not to make quick trades based on injury, a few losses, etc. This is particularly true in a "keeper league." In the end, it might be prudent to avoid trading certain injured players. About the Author
