You can still lose weight and still lead a rich life if you adhere to a sensible fat loss plan. No sense in getting in great shape and getting lean if you have to sacrifice enjoying life in the process. Some of life's greatest experiences are social events where you share amazing food and drinks with family and friends. It is possible for you to enjoy highly caloric food, treats and beverages at the same time you get a terrific body, as long as you do so intelligently. Here are a few tips to insure that you enjoy the best of both worlds.
Consider Your Weekly Calorie Tally, NOT Your Daily Total

Too many people are convinced that it's the daily calories that matter. But with this kind of thinking, no one would have calories left over for celebratory meals. If a 180 pound man is trying to lose weight, he would need to eat roughly 1,800 calories per day (give or take) to accomplish that goal. A good BBQ with chips, potato salad, beers,and dessert will blow way past that number in one meal! So, he's fallen off the wagon with just one meal.

Counting Weekly Calories is a Better Approach

Truth be told, I am not a proponent of calorie counting. Rather, I am an advocate of trying to stay within particular intake ranges. So if for instance that same 180 pound man had a 4,000 calorie day, he would ideally have a low cal day leading up to it and 2 lower calorie days after this BBQ. In this situation, he ate 2,200 calories more than he should have. He simply have to throw in a few days of calories in the 1000 range to make up for it.
Questions About This Approach

People often suggest that failing to eat frequently throughout the day will result in a slowed metabolism. In recent years, however, this hypothesis has been shown to be untrue. Dieters may be concerned over not getting enough protein everyday and therefore lose muscle tone. Such a suggestion has also been shown to be inaccurate. Recent research studied people working out three times a week and only consuming 800 calories for several week. Those studied did not reduce a measurable amount of muscle mass. Commonly referenced phenomena such as the starvation effect and muscle wasting are things that occur over extended periods, and therefore they will not take hold by the mere fact of the occasional low calorie day.

The Best Fat Loss Plan for Those Who Want To Enjoy Their Social Life

If you think about it, there is no other effective approach for losing body fat and maximizing social events at the same time. All other types of fat loss plans focus on self deprivation of one kind or another. While it will be important to implement a certain number of low calorie days, this fat loss plan will permit you to shed unwanted stores while fully enjoying the fun events of your life.
