Surfing in Texas is a lot of fun. Wait, what? Surf in Texas? That's right, contrary to popular believe and what your locals are telling you, there is plenty of surf in Texas and plenty of fun to be had by anyone willing to travel to the few beach towns that have it. While groms (kids who surf) are usually on short boards 3-5 feet long that zip through the water and shoot through the air, more experienced surfers normally ride long boards in Texas, for some nice long and smooth rides.
