Golf Fitness TipsSubmitted by remediesathome Tue, 21 Jul 2009
A golf fitness book that is written to give you ready-made golf fitness programs, exercises, step-by-step instructions and illustrations can quickly transform your golf game.
There are so many "so-called" golf fitness books on the market; but when you open them up you see dozens of pictures of golf models sitting on exercise machines in the gym. First off…just take a look at the position your body is in during the golf swing. It's "on your feet" and in golf posture (bent at the waste, knees flexed, upper back fairly straight, ankles flexed, etc…). Can you now see how any "physical limitation" you have will dramatically affect your ability to make a sound, repeatable golf swing? The situation is hardly helped by the fact that clever marketing is usually put to use in promoting a vast majority of golf fitness equipment. The result is that many disappointed golfers have ended up with loads of the stuff in their garages that has hardly improved their game. Change is often difficult to come by, but necessary as times change and we learn new information. Make sure that the exercises you are concentrating on now will help you out on the course. Adding bulk to your frame is being replaced with a more sculpted look which focuses on athletic performance. New routines include more emphasis on cable systems, fitness balls, dumbbells, and medicine balls. When it comes to golf training, it's time to think outside the box! The first well-kept secret is flexibility. Performing stretches and improving your flexibility will provide you with better rotation and a smoother more fluid swing. This is especially important when it comes to shoulder rotation and spinal rotation. Keeping your back and shoulders limber will go a long way in improving the power of your swing. Exercising these muscles regularly, and stretching them before you hit the course, will make a big difference. Every proper golf swing starts at the legs and the hips and not the arms where many golfers place most of their attention and emphasis. This is precisely the reason why proper exercising that is golf-specific usually has such a huge impact on most people in terms of dramatically improving their golf games. A good golf fitness tip can address any of the golf muscles involved in this particular part of the golf swing. This is the key to a successful golf fitness dvd and program. One that will motivate you to do it over and over again. The only way to success is "consistency". If you don't do it regularly you won't see the results you were hoping for. I don't know about you...but I don't have the time to waste listening to some one go on and on; or someone trying to be too cute on film. I actually purchased a golf training dvd where the women was wearing sunglasses in certain parts! Come on! An easy test is during the initial interview or if you're researching it online is to either ask very golf specific swing technique questions; or take a look at the information on the website. You'll find out real quick if this person or program can help your golf swing, game and health.
