How to Succeed at Vertical Training

Submitted by tjar12

When you decide to embark on a training program be it a Vertical Jump System or any other exercise program, you need to think long term. If you jump right in from the beginning and go all out then a few weeks later you quit because your disappointed in the results, injured or burned out, you have wasted your time and energy for nothing. Then what happens is weeks or months later you jump right back into it again with the same results.

If you are an experienced athlete you can most likely get away with going all out but if you are just getting into shape take it easy at first and ease into it. Think long term, set a goal further into the future for what your results are expected to be and you would be more likely to achieve those goals. If you are tired one day or need to skip a workout do not sweat it, it may actually benefit you because your giving yourself a day of rest and your body can get stronger.

If you are just starting a vertical jump program don't try to reach your goal as fast as possible, take advantage of time to build yourself up to succeed. If your legs are not strong enough yet spend the time to do the squats and dead lifts you need to do, but do not cut corners to try to speed up the process. When you get into the explosive strength development do not over do the plyometrics because you will only increase the possibility of injury and burn out.

Also, when you start a particular program stick with it till the end to get the full benefit. If you jump from program to program you will never see the best results you may be able to achieve. And take care of yourself, take time to allow your body to recuperate and you will actually find you make better progress.
