Heat-Line http://www.heatline.com, a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of quality freeze protection systems using innovative conductive-polymer heating cable technology, now offers custom solutions to protect polyethylene water tanks from freezing using Paladin and EXT Series heating cable sets for water holding and storage tanks.

Heat-Line has been providing energy efficient heating cable systems for more than 25 years. In extreme cold climate regions of the planet, freezing temperature can be a real problem for many types of exterior water tanks. Some of the water tanks that have benefitted from Heat-Line freeze protection technology are potable water storage units, effluent and grey water containment for recreational vehicle (RV) and other fresh water, grey water and black water tanks. Larger tanks such as those used for mining and exploration are insulated and thermostatically controlled to provide the lowest possible power consumption while maintaining incredible reliability, even in the coldest climates.

Heat-Line has announced that now they can offer their customers conceptual drawings for planning tank applications. To accommodate various tank shapes and sizes the concepts can be modified to suit almost any application. Customers are encouraged to contact Heat-Line with tank size and dimensions. From this information, Heat-Line will determine the wattage density and length of the cable systems required based on regional ambient temperatures and application variables such as above ground and in ground installations and insulation thicknesses. Once the cable length is determined the actual grid layout can be designed. Customers receive a custom solution to ensure their water tank is protected from freezing.

Since starting in his garage in the 80's, Lorne Heise has built Heat-Line Corporation and Christopher MacLean Ltd. into multi-million-dollar, manufacturing and research companies by developing innovative new products that solve the many problems associated with sub zero temperatures and freezing. "We are always looking for ways to utilize our conductive-polymer heating cable technology in other freeze protection applications," states Heise. "It's a great product that works perfectly for customized water tank freeze protection."
