Ways to Make Money Go FurtherSubmitted by David Salt Wed, 22 Jul 2009
With the financial troubles that are currently affecting Britain and the rest of the world, more and more people are starting to feel the pinch and being forced to cut back on luxuries. But debt advice does not have to be intimidating or complicated: in fact, there are a number of simple ways to cut back on spending, most of which will not noticeably affect day to day life.
One easy way to make money fast is to sell old or unwanted items at car boot sales. Hundreds of people flock to sales like these all over the country every weekend in summer, and it can almost be guaranteed that someone will find a use for the objects being sold, even if they may seem useless to the seller. The beauty of the car boot sale is that anything can be sold, so a rummage through the attic or seller will definitely throw up some lucrative items. Another way to earn cash is to trade in old mobile phones. A number of websites now offer this service: trading in an old phone that will then be recycled can earn the seller up to one hundred pounds, and it couldn't be easier to do, with more websites appearing all the time. It is especially lucrative when it is considered that most homes have old mobile phones lying in draws, forgotten about -the consumer culture generally means that most people update their phones every couple of years, often simply disregarding old ones. Another option is to mend clothes that are wearing out, instead of simply throwing them away. There are various ways to do this, probably the easiest being sewing up tears and holes yourself or taking the items to a haberdashers'. However, for more difficult items, for example boots, which are usually expensive, supermarkets will often offer mending services. This means that a lot of expense can be saved: Instead of having to buy new boots, they can be repaired for less than ten pounds. There are various ways to save money, and none of them are difficult to do. Cutting back on unnecessary expenses at this time mean that disposable income will be higher -and may even keep some out of debt.
Another way to avoid the recession is to visit www.mobiles2yourdoor.co.uk and see their great range of cheap mobile phones...
