Necessity is the mother of invention.

The truth is, not all inventions have been beneficial for us and our world. For example, the internal combustion engine is the major cause of global warming because of the emissions of hydrocarbons, which also produces carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, resulting from incomplete combustion. Transportation is a necessity in our society, but it causes more pollution then all other contributors.

The combustion engine has been obsolete for more than 50 years. Fortunately, there are alternative means of transportation that are environmentally safe. The electric or hydrogen cars are viable forms of transportation but the oil companies and corrupt politicians have kept these alternate cleaner energy sources from being further developed and readily available. Greed has helped to destroy progress for this world but times are changing as more people realize how serious the environmental crisis is.

This article is considered controversial because it discusses the fact that our government officials really do not care about the environment. They are more concerned about the profits they are making for the moment and not about the future of the world we live in. It is more profitable financially to destroy this world than it is to preserve it.

If conservation were to become profitable, then we would no longer have a problem. Why is it that all organizations that are trying to save this planet are non-profit organizations? Good question right?! We are helping to unify the efforts of the non- profit organizations for one voice to effectively initiate stricter government policy change to protect the worlds ecosystems. There must be stiffer fines for corporations that ignore their negative effects on our environment because of greed. Human population growth and development are destroying our ecosystems that provide clean air, water and nutrients. The impacts of urban pollution and global warming are increasing in developing countries that cannot solve the growing crisis. 50% of 6 billion people on Earth live on just $2 a day. Bringing together the goals of economic development and environmental preservation must be solved by global cooperation.
The goals of Quest Innovation & Research (see projects section) are to continue to promote global collaboration for the development of new environmentally friendly technology and methods to provide the essentials of survival for the entire world. Well inventions can be a very good thing and "necessity is the mother of invention" but now is the time for inventions that are going to benefit not only us but all living creatures on this planet. Time to put aside childish ways and grow up as a species to evolve into enlightened beings that become the caretakers of all that has been given us. Give each other the respect and compassion that we wish for our selves and all creatures big and small.
