Economic crisis reveals that the reasons for our pursuit of new more lucrative jobs are most often silly. Why would you need a car that burns 20 liters of petrol and costs like 12 regular cars? Why would you need an expensive apartment? Why would you need the most expensive gadget that looks good? Well, the iPhone isn't the most expensive, but to some people it looks good, and it's interface is a refreshing approach on mobile phones. Although it is a bit slow, and doesn't have a keyboard, those aren't the reasons the iPhone isn't perfect. It isn't perfect because it's built to stop you from freely copying media files on and off it, and you have to do those things over the iTunes program. The trouble is, most people's computers don't have iTunes.

Who needs all the makeup then? But those wanting something similar from another company have to pay much more for products without their own operating systems, allowing only Java applications to be added to the experience and usability. The other contender, Google Android, has been successfully prevented from issuing phones based on the platform, and Windows Mobile is too limited and under preforming to mention. Other quality mobile operating system producers are left behind and lack current applications. Such as browsers with flash support. Sure there are other new touch screen mobiles, but for the most of them, the software you get is the software you use. Nokia has developed the Ovi store, a response to Apple's iStore, to make programmers offer their ideas to the users for profit or just for glory or human society benefit. So the N97 has all the possibilities of the iPhone, and none of it's limitations, such as the camera and the iTunes limitation.

It also still enables you to use all Symbian applications written until now, and there is a tremendous number of powerful programs to choose from. You don't even have to download a program for Symbian, just go online and use a Flash application like you do on your PC. By the way, what do you use your PC for anymore? Unless it is reading DVDs or DTP or 3D modelling, N97 can do it anywhere.
