The new £99 Apple iPhoneSubmitted by David Salt Tue, 8 Sep 2009
Apple has always led the market segment where innovation, ease of use and quality were the top values. Macintosh, iMac, iPhone, the company is always ahead of everyone else in seeing a great concept which is not developed to the max, and doing just that, often disabling the competition from ever coming near to their solutions. Their iPhone, although not so available in Europe, and not even built for Europe, as you can see from the lack of support for MMS messages, was the phone that started the smart touchphone arms race. The 3d control system of this phone is unparalleled today by most expensive Nokias and other phones, even though it is already two years old. However, Apple is preparing something new for us, here in Europe. Or, something old perhaps, with a new price and new software.
It is rumoured that the new iPhone will cost just £99, and have all the power of the old one, maybe even more. It will run on a new operating system for iPhones, version 3.0, which will enable you to send and receive MMS messages and to copy and paste text and pictures from application to application, they call it true multitasking. It will most likely be 3G enabled and have a camera, since it's OS will start supporting sending and receiving MMS around the launch date, somewhere at the beginning of this summer. It is known that Apple has bought up all of Samsung's flash memory chips manufacturing capacities for months in advance, and knowing that Samsung is one of the largest producers of flash memory chips can only mean one thing, Apple is entering truly mass production of their new product. The market's circumstances have changed, and Apple is among the first to respond with an incredible price policy, giving you a touchscreen 3G phone with the best web browser available on mobile phones, a camera and lots of memory for storing your music and pictures, and a 3d graphics processor enabling you to play 3d games on it, all for 99$. Is it too good to be true, or is it just Apple? Everyone will have one. Most probably only from O2 in UK.
