Hvar is definitly one of the 10 most beautiful destinations of the world, for sure. This amazing island has been chosen in 1997 by the „Traveller Magazine" as one of the top ten in the category "most beautiful islands in the world".
It is a place where you may enjoy 2.715 hours of sunshine a year, what makes it to the sunnyest island on the Adriatic coast. Even the winters have a mild climate with a average temerature of about 9 degree.
It is the second biggest island and the longest one on the Croatian Adriatic Sea. The mountain on the east are only 4.5 km away from the mainland, while the west side faces the open sea. The island is 67,5 km long and 10,5 km wide and the higest peak is called St.Nicola which is 626 m high.

Hvar has 11,459 inhabitants and like we said at the beginning numerous lavender fields, olive plantations and wineyards. So if you are looking for a peaceful vacation in a gorgeous, natural surrounding, this would be the right place.
But it is also the right place for those who likes to have a bit of adventure on their travels? The island offers not only very comfortable Hvar apartments , it owns places where you will find the biggest waves, the best climbs or the most beautiful canyoning spots.
