Air League Overalls

The ideal protective overall in the industry of aviation needs to be made from the perfect material. This is the foundation of all clothing and when you are working around engines that give off large amounts of heat, you need to choose wisely.

One of the best materials for overalls is a fabric called Pyrovatex. This material is 100% cotton. The overall only weighs 350grams. What makes this fabric vital is that has been treated with chemicals to provide protection.

It is fire retardant, and protects the wearer from accidental flash fires, sparks during welding, heat, as well as any splashes of molten metal. The material does not ignite, or melt. Therefore the wearer’s skin will not be exposed nor will the fabric drip on his or her skin.

Check to make sure that the overall has triple stitching. This will ensure nothing rips or tears during intense work. The overall should be reinforced at stress points, including the back and joints. Side elastics and features such as an action back will make the overall comfortable.

Employees will be working long hours so the overall needs to become a type of second skin without them having to worry about the overall becoming damaged. Check to see if the neck closure is studded, and that it has heavy-duty double zips for easy accessibility.

There is no such thing as too many pockets when it comes to overalls and the aviation industry. Ideally you would like roughly about 5 to 10 pockets. This includes chest pockets, side swing pockets as well as back pockets.

Having a pocket for pens and a ruler pocket will be an added bonus. When working in an airfield, it is best to make sure the overalls have visibility strips as well. They would need to run on both arms, legs and ideally over the shoulder.

Selecting the right overall is essential if your workers are going to be exposed to extreme conditions and should anything go wrong, the overall is the difference between life and death.
