Being a last minute traveler can put you to a very big amount of pressure. You have to rush everything from scratch, from packing of your suitcase to finding an available airline ticket. These are some tedious jobs for a limited time. However, you can avoid cramming.

Once you head to the airport, you have two options in looking for last minute deals. First, you can transact with airline consolidators. These are people whose business is to buy tickets in bulk from the airlines, and afterwards sell them at reduced rates, most especially to people who seek last minute flights. Usually, these airfares are 75% lower than regular prices. Thus, in this manner you have been advantageous compared to other passengers who will board the same flight and bought their tickets at an earlier time.

Second, you may opt to bargain directly to an airline representative for a cheap flight. You may consider doing so after searching the net for vacant seats and negotiate the details to him/her. Unlike the first one, this would be tougher as this is highly dependent on your "luck" and the friendly consideration of the representative. In extreme circumstances, they can be very helpful and cooperative if you tell them that you are in a dire need, most especially when it comes to attending to family emergencies like sudden death. If you are not still fortunate enough and your desired flight is fully booked, try approaching the representative for a second time and ask him/her to reserve a seat for you for the next flight within the day. Just remember that patience is a virtue. It all depends on you on how to attend to last minute flights.
